"Soft" Feel

  • 100% Ringspun Cotton Garments
  • Waterbase Inks
  • Discharge Inks
  • Opaque "vintage" Look
  • Halftones in Artwork
  • Less Ink Per Square Inch
The "soft" feel of inks on garments is referred to how smooth and soft the ink feels to the touch. There are a few ways to accomplish this feel, the most common method is through the use of less ink on the artwork itself. Printing on garments is very similar to painting walls, in order to paint a black wall, white, one must do 2-4 coats of the white in order to avoid any bleeding of the black.

Using halftones (gradients) on designs can also reduce the thickness of the ink on garments.

The less ink coverage per square inch on a design, the softer the feel of the over all print will be.
